I watched a fair amount the tournament, but if I have to pick one, I’d say this is my favorite hand of the 2016 World Series of Poker Main Event.

How complex it is and how many different ways it could have been played by each of the three players.

I feel like even if you simulated this hand ten times (even with the same players), it could go ten different ways.

How to Play a Full House (or Quads)

There are many conflicting theories on how to play a full house in No Limit Hold’em.

Some advocate slow playing for hanging your opponent.
Others say play it fast and get value while you can. You don’t want them checking behind and risk winning nothing.

For purposes of this blog I’m going to discuss this hand with respect to having a full house, since it’s way more likely than making quads.
